Building Summit: Week 2 - Where we're going and why

The Summit Team looked at many properties (nearly 30, in fact) before settling on 601 New Jersey Ave., NW.

We chose this building based on multiple factors, not the least of which was our growing staff. First and foremost, we need more space. But to make sure that our employees agreed with the choice, our Operations Manager Catherine Tucker conducted an in-depth survey at the beginning of the year to get an idea of priorities. What did staff want more: convenient location, gym accessibility, or modern finishes? The survey gathered feedback on these aspects and more.

Cat collected our answers and used them to guide her during the search. After showing the top contenders to Albert and Anthony, 601 New Jersey Ave was deemed the best fit for Summit. The space was previously occupied by the Federal Trade Commission, but we expect to begin construction on the office shortly.

We're confident the office will be a great place for Summiteers to work beginning in 2015.
